One single event has changed everything I believed myself to be.
Being born into the dogmatic teachings of the Catholic church made me believe that God was a judgemental and punishing deity. I was strongly convinced that he was distant and separate from me. My then unquestionable religious devotion caused me to feel sinful, unworthy and depressed. At the same time, I began having paranormal experiences, which I could not easily explain. It was them that instilled in me the enormous curiosity for the unknown and gave me a strong drive to seek answers.
